Raisa Nemenova was born on October 8, 1935 in Moscow. In 1959 she graduated from the Moscow Musical College. October Revolution, the class of the teacher N. Ilyutovich, who helped Raisa Nemenova find her individuality on the stage. Her professional debut as a singer took place immediately after graduating from college in the Moldovan jazz orchestra "Bucuria". Widespread fame came to her in 1960 - when her song to the music of Jan Frenkel and the words of Mikhail Tanich "Textile Town" was premiered in the radio program "Good Morning". She sang the song in a high, clear voice. The song has become the hallmark of Raisa Nemenova.
