Alexander Vladimirovich Medvedev (Russian: Александр Владимирович Медведев, born 20 May 1975), also known as Shura (Russian: Шура), is a Russian singer/songwriter. Fr om age 12, he sang in the Novosibirsk restaurant "Rus", wh ere his grandmother Vera Mikhailovna worked as chef. His popularity peaked in the late 1990s. He gained fame for his extravagant manner of performance and memorable appearance - which was, for a long time, the absence of his anterior teeth. Some of his songs (for example, "Noisy summer rains", "Do good," "Cold Moon" and "Do not believe in tears") became the object of numerous parodies.
