Yann Tiersen is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist from Brest, born on June 23, 1970. A beginner can discover his music through his minimalist, neo-classical, instrumental, folk, and film score style.
He is known for the soundtrack to Amélie, the piece Comptine d’un autre été : L’après-midi, and Le Moulin. His debut album, La Valse des monstres, appeared in 1995, and he also wrote music for Good Bye, Lenin! and Tabarly.
