The folk group "Aquamarine" is a musical ensemble from the village of Shimsk (Novgorod Oblast), widely known for its active creative work and participation in folk music awards. The group began its activities in 2006. Its leader, Alexey Kostin, combines his creative work with his work as a methodologist at the Borkovsky District House of Folk Art. One of the group's signature songs is the song "Log." It was with this composition that Aquamarine won the "Narodnye Pesni - 3. Hit of the Year" television music award.
