Tomás P. Balász (November 17, 1922 – October 18, 2010) was a Hungarian composer, conductor, pianist, arranger, and orchestral conductor. He wrote symphonic works, entertainment music, and dance songs. He conducted several dance and song festivals. He also composed the film Moral Night (1977). In the early 1960s, the melody "Silver Guitar" performed by the Hungarian Jazz Sextet under the direction of Tomás Balász gained wide popularity in the USSR.
