Boris Alexandrovich Rivchun was born on January 13, 1947 in Moscow. He grew up in a musical family where both classical and jazz music have always sounded. The composer has a serious academic education under his belt: Gnesins, Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, postgraduate studies at the State Classical Academy. In his composer's work B. Rivchun combines various directions of musical art, both academic music and jazz, song, choral music; for the State Boys' Choir he wrote a choral cycle on the verses of Afanasy Fet. B. Rivchun is also known as the author of music for dramatic performances.
