Crashdïet is a Swedish glam metal band from Stockholm who became leaders of the sleaze rock revival of the 2000s. They blend punk energy with the aesthetics and sound of 1980s glam metal (in the vein of Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, and Guns N' Roses). The band is known for its frequent frontman changes. Original vocalist Dave Lepard died tragically in 2006, after which the band has reformed several times with new leaders (Ollie Herman, Simon Cruz, Gabriel Casey, John Elliott). Their debut album, Rest in Sleaze (2005), is considered a classic of the genre, and was followed by the successful The Unattractive Revolution and Generation Wild.
