Elena Sergeevna Yesenina (born July 27, 1987, Ryazan) is a Russian pop singer, poetess, composer, formerly known under the pseudonym Lena Valevskaya. In 2008, she represented Russia at the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk competition, where she won first place. She sat down at the piano for the first time at the age of 6. The future singer wrote her first blues composition in the fifth grade under the impression of watching the gangster movie Once Upon a Time in Chicago. The first performance of the fifth-grader took place at the New Year's holiday on the stage of the club of the Airborne School.
