GUMI (also known as Megpoid) is a popular virtual singer and mascot character developed by Internet Co., Ltd. "Megpoid" is the name of the software (a portmanteau of "Megumi" and "Vocaloid"), while "GUMI" is the name of the character itself, based on Nakajima's childhood nickname.
