Gwen Marie Obertuck (born March 31, 1980 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin) is an American former singer and actress. She gained fame in the German-speaking countries in the 1990s, above all with her Disney songs and her duet Wir two alone (tonight) with David Hasselhoff. In 1993 Gwen sang the title song Wie der Wind (Carthago) for the ZDF family series Immenhof. With this song she also won the ZDF hit parade moderated by Uwe Hübner. In December 1993, Ariola released Gwen's first duet song with David Hasselhoff. The hit celebrated its TV premiere on the ARD show Do you understand fun? with Harald Schmidt.
