Ibo, real name Ibrahim Bekirović (born July 22, 1961 in Skopje, SR Macedonia, SFR Yugoslavia; † November 18, 2000 in St. Pankraz, Austria), was a German pop singer. Bekirović had been working full-time as a musician since the late 1970s. In 1983 he recorded his first record (I ask too much), which was already a medium-sized success. He only used his abbreviated first name Ibo, sometimes also spelled IBO, as his stage name. In 1985 he had his first big hit with Ibiza. He was a guest on numerous music programs on television. More hits followed, so that he soon became one of the most successful pop stars of the 1980s.
