Igor Mikhailovich Malygin is a musician, bard, composer, and icon painter. He was born on May 25, 1953, in Sergiev Posad (formerly Zagorsk). He has lived in Yaroslavl since 2002. He began writing songs at the age of 14—both poetry and music. He studied the button accordion at a music school for two and a half years. At 17, he founded the rock band "Corsairs." Later, after serving in the army, he worked in restaurant orchestras, clubs, and community centers for 10 years, playing guitar and singing. His vocal range was four octaves, but after losing his voice (due to colds in the North), it was reduced to 3.5 octaves after his recovery.
