Maximilian Schmiedl (born July 25, 1971 in Vienna) is an Austrian musician, actor and cabaret artist. After graduating fr om the drama school of the Vienna Volkstheater, Maximilian Schmiedl moved to Germany wh ere he worked first at the Staatstheater Osnabrück and four years later at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Schmiedl engaged the then director of the Salzburg State Theater in 2000 at his house, after he had seen him as Ferdinand in Schiller's "Kabale und Liebe". Schmiedl then played this role again in Salzburg. Also in 2000, Schmiedl participated in the Austrian reality soap Taxi Orange (Big Brother-like) in which he also won and donated his profit of one million schillings.
