Mikhail Idov (real name - Michael Mark Zilberman, at birth Mikhail Markovich Zilberman; born July 9, 1976, Riga, USSR) - American and Russian director, screenwriter, prose writer and musician. Former journalist, chief editor of the Russian version of GQ magazine in 2012-2014. From 1998 to 2012 he lived in New York, where he worked as a columnist for New York Magazine since 2006. Published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time, The New Republic. Winner of three National Magazine Awards (for 2007 and two for 2009). He was also the editor-in-chief of Russia!, an American magazine about Russia that ran from 2007 to 2009.
