Nicole Anne Bell, known in music circles as Nicole Dollanganger, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and visual artist. She was born on September 8, 1991 in the Scarborough area of ​​Toronto, Ontario. Dollanganger was a nickname taken from the 1979 Gothic novel Flowers in the Attic, the first book in the Dollanganger series, from which her music draws inspiration. In early 2011, after being hospitalized for issues with an eating disorder, Dollanganger began writing, recording, and producing her own music while at home on bed rest. Having completed four records during this time, she has released her music on MySpace, Tumblr, and Bandcamp. Dollanganger's music is characterized by her shrill vocals and lyrics, often dealing with themes of sexuality, violence, BDSM, poverty, self-destruction, eating disorders, death, and mental health issues. In January 2023, Nicole released the album Married in Mount Airy.
