Oliver Knöbel (born November 21, 1969 in Springe) is a German travesty artist who became known as a drag queen with his fictional character Olivia Jones and appears almost exclusively in this female role. Oliver Knöbel made his first travesty appearances during his school days at the Heinrich-Göbel-Realschule in Springe. Always with the goal of show business in mind, he continued his education, including language training, acting classes and make-up courses. In 1989 the company moved to Hamburg. Knöbel introduced himself to the travesty artist and director of the Schmidt Theater Ernie Reinhardt (Lilo Wanders).
