Tovaritch is a Franco-Russian rapper, born in Russia and now based in Seine-Saint-Denis (93). His name, in Cyrillic “товарищ”, comes from the Russian language and is literally translatable as “comrade”. After a few years of rap, started at the age of 15, then stopped for a while, following the death of a close friend with whom he shared a group, he stood out at the beginning of 2019, launching a series of freestyles on his Youtube channel. Called Bratva, a Russian word for the mafia, this series allowed Tovaritch to let his fiery and masculine voice speak in wild music videos, posing on trap productions with his deep voice filled with hatred. The rapper from Russia has built his musical style on a rap with virulent lyrics and recurring positions, reacting to current events in most of his lyrics.
