The Taste of Honey is a production project by Mikhail Shufutinsky, whose soloists are Tatyana Anis from his show-ballet "Ataman" and aspiring singer Alena Ivantsova. The group was remembered for its hit "Serious Conversation", which was included in the 18th collection of the Soyuz studio. In 1996, ZeKo Records released the group's first album, which was called "The Taste of Honey", a bizarre combination of pop music and chanson. A year later, Alena Ivantsova left the group, releasing her solo album Rain Man on the same Soyuz label. Her place was taken by Elena Masaltseva. Having released in 1999 the album "Mikhail Shufutinsky Presents the Taste of Honey - ...Kotik", on which the master himself performed two songs, the project finally broke up.
