Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer, born in Salzburg in 1756 and later active in Vienna, where his mature period shaped classical music. A child prodigy on keyboard and violin, he toured Europe with his father. Today many musicians learn his works through arrangements for guitar.
Mozart is linked with symphonic music, chamber music, opera, choral music, and piano repertoire. He wrote more than 600 completed works, including The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute, Symphonies No. 40 and No. 41, and the Requiem. Guitar sheet music of selected pieces remains in demand.
