Boris Andreyevich Mokrousov (1909-1968) - Soviet composer. Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree (1948). Honored Artist of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1962). From 1924 to 1925 he studied at the Nizhny Novgorod Technical School, at the rabfak MGK named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, and then entered her composer faculty, which he graduated in 1936. Two years later, Mokrousov wrote the song “My darling lives in Kazan”, which brought him fame. At the end of 1941, for the documentary “The rout of German troops near Moscow,” he wrote “The Song of the Defenders of Moscow,” which he immediately fell in love with in the army. In 1943, Mokrousov created the ballad song "The Treasured Stone."
