The Broilers are a punk band from Düsseldorf that has its origins in the Oi! and punk rock scene. In 1992, Sammy Amara and Andreas Brügge founded a band that became the Broilers two years later. They were inspired by the cover record “Learning English” by Toten Hosen. In addition to their punk rock roots, the Broilers also integrated influences from psychobilly and the traditional, anti-racist skinhead and rudeboy scenes into their sound. As is quite common in the Oi! scene, they chose a band name that contains the letter combination oi.
