Chelsea is a Russian pop group formed as a result of the Star Factory-6 project, produced by Viktor Drobysh. Although the members of the group performed together at the reporting concerts of the Star Factory, the name of the group was not invented immediately. At first, the team, for lack of a better name, was simply called a "boy band", and a competition for the best name for the group was announced on the Channel One forum. The official name of the group was announced at the final concert of Star Factory-6 on June 29, 2006, when the participants were awarded a certificate for the right to use the Chelsea trademark in Russia and the CIS countries. The Chelsea name was approved by Viktor Drobysh.
