Ermek Bekmukhamedovich Serkebaev (kaz. Ermek Bekmukhameduly Serkebaev; July 4, 1926, Petropavlovsk - November 16, 2013, Alma-Ata) - Soviet, Kazakh chamber and opera singer (baritone), actor, teacher. People's Artist of the USSR (1959). Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1977) and the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR (1972). Hero of Socialist Labor (1986). Since 1947 he has been a soloist of the Kazakh Opera and Ballet Theatre. Abay (Alma-Ata). He also performed as a chamber and pop singer. His repertoire included Kazakh folk songs, works by Russian and foreign composers.
