Galina Ilyinichna Besedina (born May 31, 1945, Leningrad) is a Soviet and Russian musical performer and poetess. Artistic director of the Russian Romance Center. People's Artist of Russia (2006). She graduated from the Leningrad Musical College and the Moscow School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theater. She performed with literary and musical compositions to her own accompaniment on the guitar, becoming a laureate of international competitions, including the International Song Festival in Sopot (1978). In 1980 and 1982 she was a laureate of the "Song of the Year" festival. For a long time she worked in a creative duet with Sergey Taranenko.
