Leo Sayer is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame during the disco era. He was born on 21 May 1948 in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, UK. Sayer rose to fame in the early 1970s, performing in costume and make-up as Pierrot and writing songs for more famous artists. His vocals could be heard on several albums by the Alan Parsons Project. Almost all of Sayer's major hits were released between 1975 and 1977: Moonlighting; You Make Me Feel Like Dancing (#1 in the US, Grammy Award); When I Need You (#1 in the US and UK). In 1979, the all-Union record label Melodiya released the album "Leo Sayer Sings" in the USSR. Seyer continued to record actively in the following decades, but after the song More Than I Can Say (1980), his repertoire did not include any new hits, and he fell out of the ranks of the world's pop music leaders.
