"Shakherezada" (from 1988 to 1990 - "Anzhelika") is a Saratov (later Moscow) pop group, formed in 1988 by Nikolai Mikhno. The peak of its popularity came in the early 1990s. In 1991, Nikolai Mikhno and Igor Meshcheryakov decided to change the lead singer, name and style of the group, and the first album of "Shakherezada" (1991) received recognition. The new lead singer is Yulia Demyanova. In 1999, the group ceased to exist. In February 2012, Nikolai Mikhno and Igor Meshcheryakov decided to revive the group with a new line-up and began working on new songs.
