Vahid Ayubov was a writer and performer of Chechen songs, performing them with guitar. He was born on May 27, 1978, in Proletarsk, Rostov Oblast. Ayubov had no musical training, but his songs were popular in southern Russia and the Caucasus. His well-known compositions include "My String," "Caspian Sea," "I Was Born at Night Under the Fence," "Zina Is to Blame," and "Degi Yezar." Ayubov released several albums, including "Degi Yezar" (2016), "My Last Taxi" (2021), and "A Collection of Rare Songs" (2021). He died on June 21, 2016, at the age of 38.
