Igor Krutoy is a Ukrainian-Russian composer, pianist, producer, and media manager, born in 1954 in Haivoron. He became one of the most popular authors in the post-Soviet space, with more than 300 songs and instrumental works. Many listeners learn his music through concert performances of his lyrical piano pieces and songs.

His catalog unites pop, estrada music, estrada-symphonic sound, instrumental lyricism, and soundtracks. The widely known piece “Sad Angel” is especially associated with his concert repertoire.
